Traffic Control Plans (TCPs)

Every safe work zone begins with a plan. At Flagger Force, we create customized traffic control plans that meet municipal, state, and federal requirements while keeping roadway workers and motorists safe, grounded in local knowledge and built through strong relationships with agencies and law enforcement. Backed by deep field experience, we right-size layouts, detours, and staging to protect people, maintain efficient operations, and deliver a positive experience for motorists and the community.

What Is A Traffic Control Plan?

A traffic control plan (TCP) is the playbook for a work zone. It defines how traffic will be managed, establishes applicable route detours, details lane closures, tapers, buffers, and signage, sets the placement of cones, devices, and traffic control professionals, and addresses pedestrian/bicycle access and roles/timing (including police detail when required).

Also known as traffic management plans, road work traffic plans, or maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans, traffic control plans are essential for compliance, safety, and efficiency. We create site-specific non-engineered drawings to build plans to local standards and permit requirements, and coordinate with municipalities, utilities, and law enforcement to ensure Safety-Driven® operations for crews and a positive experience for motorists and neighbors. Professional engineered services are available upon request.
